About Coach

As a current Exercise Science student, my philosophy to coaching is based upon providing an evidence based approach to football coaching in conjunction with anecdotal evidence accrued from my experience working at all levels of football in NSW.

With this in mind, my style is centred around creating effective, specific, purposeful training programs that are optimal for learning & development.

As a footballer, I have played across the NPL & State Leagues for clubs such as Fraser Park, Hurstville FC, Stanmore Hawks and currently play at Connells Point Rovers within the Premier League Squad.

As a player who has played across the grassroots and NPL levels, I have gained a thorough understanding of the challenges and experiences that individuals within each level of the game in NSW undergo.

As a football coach, strength and conditioning coach and exercise science student I have been fortunate enough to be apart of several fantastic organisations including:
- Hakoah City East (NPL Youth)
- St George FC (SAP)
- Sydney University FC (NPL Youth)
- Caringbah High School (Football Coordinator)
- Macarthur Bulls FC (NPL 1st Team Intern)

Furthermore, I was fortunate to enjoy being the Director and Co-Founder of Playfutbol Academy, which focused on providing private football coaching in small group format, 1 on 1, coach the coaches, coaching grassroots academies etc.

Initially, regardless of the athlete I will use the first few sessions to gather observational data regarding the athlete’s biomechanics, personality, motivations, skill level, ability to apply information/preferred method of learning before using this information to formulate a specific training program for the athlete.

Over the course of the program, continual revision, modification, reflection and dialogue between Coach-player will occur to ensure the program is continually being specified to the player’s strengths & weaknesses.
